BABYMOON AT Port Stephens

With more consumers embracing the importance of health and wellness, particularly leading up to the arrival of a new baby, Babymoons have grown in popularity with Babymoon packages currently one of the hottest trends in travel.

A Babymoon, the term given to a pre-baby vacation, is often taken before a couple delivers their first baby. However, a Babymoon can be experienced before the delivery of a second, third or even fourth child. It is a time for expecting parents to reconnect and relax before Baby arrives.

Bannisters Port Stephens is dedicated to the rest and relaxation of our guests and there is never a more needed time for some serious rest than before a baby is welcomed into the world. Our Babymoon package leverages the unique selling points of our hotel which are even more alluring to expectant couples. Conveniently located far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city we are close enough that guests can drive to us.

Pregnancy can be exhausting for women while the process of preparing for a new baby can be wearing for their partners as well. A Babymoon is designed to let couples take a break from the stress of impending parenthood. Bannisters Port Stephens’ rooms have been designed to be instantly calming with coastal chic interiors, big comfortable beds and well placed television screens. Perfect for bingeing the best of bad t.v., while you take the time to do absolutely nothing in complete comfort.

Relax and unwind before the arrival of baby, at Bannisters.

“The natural wildlife such as kookaburras, rosellas and koalas can often be spotted from guests’ rooms.”

Our rooms come with views of either the ocean or the native bushland, with some offering both. Guests can be nestled up inside or morph into a state of tranquility surrounded by nature. The natural wildlife such as kookaburras, rosellas and koalas can often be spotted from guests’ rooms.

Bannisters is committed to the preservation of our wildlife and has partnered with Port Stephens Koalas, an organisation that rescues, treats and rehabilitates injured and orphaned koalas. The adoption of a local koala is included in our Babymoon package. This adoption ensures the care and protection of a koala and allows for adoptive parents to visit their adopted koala at the Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary, creating the perfect reason to come back to Port Stephens with Baby.

While the soon-to-be mum is still eating for two, delicious comforting food is a must! With a food and beverage soul, multiple dining options are available on site at Bannisters Port Stephens. From the famed Rick Stein at Bannisters restaurant which features the freshest locally sourced seafood to the Terrace Bar which often showcases unique pop up restaurants to spoil guests with flavourful dishes inspired by cuisines of various parts of the world.

There is also the Cheeky Dog pub located at the foot of the Bannisters driveway which is great for those that appreciate a hearty pub meal. Each of our dining venues offers alcohol free drinks such as mocktails and alcohol-free spirits and beer to ensure soon-to-be mum can still enjoy a sophisticated beverage with each meal.

The Terrace Bar flanks Bannisters Port Stephens infinity pool. Sunbeds have been placed to take full advantage of the sun and the amazing ocean view, sitting within close proximity of the pool and bar. However, with strategically placed me&u beacons, beverages and snacks can be ordered  from the me&u app while you continue to lounge poolside. This creates the perfect milieu for couples to maximise their leisure time. For extra comfort Bannisters’ pool will be heated on cooler days.

The final ingredient to complete relaxation is a visit to Spa Bannisters. A variety of massages and treatments are on offer at the spa to ensure your body’s needs are attended to, helping our guests achieve optimal mindfulness.

We find that most couples on a Babymoon are happy to chill out at the hotel taking the time to take it easy, bonding, swimming, eating and relaxing in their rooms with Port Stephens the perfect location.

Sarah, who chose Bannisters Port Stephens for her Babymoon comments:

“The rooms are so quiet and you will get the best sleep here. We loved the skylight in the bathroom and the shower was spacious, the light heating is a nice extra touch when you wake up in the morning.”
