  • Great Escape Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions

    · Available on new bookings only.

    · Full payment required at time of purchase.

    · The package voucher is non-refundable.

    · If you are unable to confirm a stay before the travel period ends, your Great Escape voucher will be converted into a monetary credit to be used within three years of the original purchase date.

    · Cancellations and date amendments are permitted up to close of business 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellations and date amendments without 14 days notice, or a hotel no show, would forfeit the voucher as penalty.

    · If your booking is cancelled due to Pandemic Lockdown, Natural Disaster such as bushfires or localised floods, or a State or National Emergency or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control that prevent you from traveling to the hotel your non-refundable voucher will be converted to a monetary credit to be used within three years of the original purchase date.

    · To redeem the $100 Bannisters Credit, you must charge $100 worth of eligible items to your room. The credit cannot be exchanged for cash, spa products, or hotel retail items. If any amount of the credit remains unused, a refund or transfer of credits will not be provided.

    · Rates are based on two adults; single occupancy rates are not available.

    · Available in Paperbark, Ocean Deck Lower, and Ocean Deck Upper rooms exclusively.

    · Stay dates from May 1 to September 21, 2024.

    · Blackout dates apply, and limited room allocations on select dates.

    · Gift vouchers are on sale from November 20, 2024, until sold out.

    · If you have purchased a midweek voucher and wish to stay on a weekend (those that include a Friday or Saturday night), a surcharge of $200 will apply, and would be subject to availability.

    · Room upgrades may be available on stays booked with a Great Escape Gift Voucher, however, these are subject to availability, and additional costs will incur.

  • Do I have to stay within the gift voucher expiry period ?

    Gift vouchers must be used within the three year period. They are non-refundable and if unused within the validity period, the funds will be lost.

  • How do I purchase a gift voucher?

    Gift vouchers can be purchased either online or at reception. If you purchase a gift voucher online, a printable version will be emailed through to your inbox.

  • Terms and Conditions of Gift Voucher use

    Gift vouchers are valid for three years from purchase date. Vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift vouchers must be presented upon booking and arrival. Service fee applies on Sundays and Public Holidays in Day Spa & Restaurants. When a product or service is unavailable this voucher is redeemable to the vouchers original monetary value only. Minimum stays may apply. Other terms and conditions may apply.

  • Where can I use my Gift Voucher?

    Bannisters Gift Vouchers can be used at the property chosen across accommodation, dining and day spa.

  • Can I use my Gift Voucher to book online?

  • Public Holiday and group surcharges

    Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays incur a 15% surcharge and a 10% staff gratuity applies to groups of 10 or more at Rick Stein at Bannisters and groups of 8 or more at the Rooftop Bar and Grill.

  • Are there Halal options?

    Halal options are subject to where you are dining. Please advise upon booking if you require Halal menu options.

  • Can I reserve a table at the Pool Bar?

    Yes, you can book a table at Bannisters Pool Bar.

  • I don’t eat seafood, will there be another meat option on the menu at Rick Stein?

    There is always one meat option entree and main option on the Rick Stein menu. We also offer a vegetarian menu.

  • Are children allowed in the restaurants?

    Children are welcome at all of our outlets, we offer a children’s menu at all restaurants apart from the Pool Bar.

  • BYO

    Our outlets do not offer BYO.

  • Cakeage

    A cakeage fee is subject to where you are dining. If you would like to bring your own cake to any of our restaurants please advise upon booking.

  • Are there any GF/DF/Vegan options at your restaurants?

    With notice we are able to accommodate most allergy and dietary requirements. Please advise upon booking if you have any special requests.

  • Do the restaurants have a dress code?

    There is no dress code at any of our outlets, though we do suggest smart-casual for Rick Stein’s restaurants.

  • Do I have to book?

    Bookings are essential at all of our outlets apart from the Pool Bar. In and out of house guests must book to secure a table.

  • Can I use the facilities at the Mollymook hotels if I’m staying at Bannisters Beach House

    Beach House guests are unable to use the facilities at Bannisters by the Sea and Bannisters Pavilion.

  • What are the terms and conditions for the Bannisters Guest Preferences Competition?

    Our winner has been announced!

    Please read the terms and conditions for the competition associated with updating your guest preferences with Bannisters Hotels.

    On offer is a 2 night midweek accommodation for two people in their choice of either a Classic Room at Bannisters Pavilion (Mollymook), an Ocean Deluxe at Bannisters By The Sea (Mollymook), or a Paperbark at Bannisters Port Stephens (Port Stephens), with continental breakfast included daily. The winner will be notified by email with the initial and last name of the winner added to the bottom of this page once the winner has been notified. 

    Accommodation is not available on or during NSW School or Public Holidays or black-out periods set out by the hotel.

    The prize is subject to availability at time of booking and must be redeemed between 9th August, 2023 – 8th August, 2024.

    The prize is based on and limited to a maximum of two adults.  

    The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and unexchangeable for cash. Any attempt to resell or auction all or any part of this prize will result in an immediate cancellation of the prize. Prize cannot be exchanged for another itinerary. 

    The winner will be responsible for all expenses not specifically stated as part of the prize, including but not limited to, travel costs and fees associated with redeeming any element of the prize. 

    If for any reason the prize winner is unable to make their stay, they must give notice to Bannisters Hotels 7 days from arrival. If cancellation within 48 hours of arrival occurs, evidence of illness or serious injury such as a medical certificate must be provided, otherwise the prize will be forfeit.  

    The prize winner is permitted to make one (1) change to the date of the booking provided that such change is made no less than 30 days prior to the commencement of the original booking date and provided the chosen dates which are of an equal value are available.

    If the prize winner is unable to make their stay due to an Act of God, Act of Government or other national emergency, the prize is forfeit. 

    Bannisters Hotels reserves the right to deny use of prize vouchers should any of the above terms and conditions be broken.

  • Is there parking at the hotels/is it included in the rate?

    There is parking available free of charge for in house guests at all of our properties.

  • Do you have wifi?

    We have complimentary high speed wifi across all properties.

  • Do you offer a babysitting service or creche?

    We do not offer a babysitting or creche service at any of our hotels. We offer a list of recommendations upon request.

  • Are there lifts at the hotels/are there lots of stairs?

    Bannisters by the Sea does not have a lift or disabled access rooms. Bannisters Pavilion has both a lift which travels between all levels of the hotel and two disabled access rooms. Bannisters Port Stephens also has a lift which accesses all floors.

  • Are there safes in the rooms?

    There are safes in all of our rooms.

  • How many people does Bannisters Beach House sleep?

    Bannisters Beach House accommodates a maximum of ten adults and two children.

  • How far is Bannisters Beach House from the Mollymook hotels?

    Bannisters Beach House is 150 meters from Bannisters by the Sea and 1km from Bannisters Pavilion. The courtesy car is available to guests staying at the Beach House.

  • Are there cots available for the room?

    Travel cots are available at request and incur no cost.

  • Are children allowed?

    Children are welcome at all of our properties.

  • What is included in breakfast?

    Your room rate includes a complimentary continental breakfast and accompanied by espresso coffee and daily newspapers. We also have an A La Carte breakfast menu.

  • Are your rooms accommodating of twin share?

    If you require a twin share room, please call our reservations team in Mollymook on (02) 4454 7400 or in Port Stephens on (02) 4919 3800.

  • How many people do the rooms sleep?

    All rooms sleep two adults as standard, if you require an extra bed or cot please contact our reservations team in Mollymook on (02) 4454 7400 and in Port Stephens on (02) 4919 3800. Charges may apply for extra bedding.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    At Bannisters Hotels Mollymook check-in time is 2pm and check-out is 10.30am and at Bannisters Port Stephens check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 11:00am.

    Late-checkouts are subject to availability on the morning of departure.

  • Can I use the pool at By the Sea if I’m staying at Pavilion (and vice versa)?

    During the peak period while both properties are full, guests are not admitted access to the other properties pool or sun loungers. During the quieter months, the rule is not enforced as strictly. We ask that guests are respectful of each other.

  • Cancellation policy/terms and conditions

    Bannisters Hotels offers various rates, packages and tariffs. As such, we have varying cancellation policies. If you have made a booking you can check your confirmation email for the cancellation policy that corresponds to your tariff. If you are yet to book, please call the reservations team of your chosen hotel for more information.

    Bannisters Port Stephens standard cancellation policy requires the hotel to be contacted before 5pm, 14 days prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation or no show charges. All cancellations are required in writing and will have a receipt of cancellation issued.

    Bannisters Mollymook standard cancellation policy requires the hotel to be contacted before 5pm, 14 days prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation or no show charges. All cancellations are required in writing and will have a receipt of cancellation issued.

    For prepaid, non-refundable packages such as, the Great Escape package, all monies will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation. Please call the reservation team of your chosen hotel for more information and to confirm if this is the right package type for you.

  • Is there a minimum stay?

    Minimum stays can apply during different times of the year. As standard, weekends require a 2 night minimum stay. Christmas Holidays are a 5 night minimum stay at Bannisters by the Sea and 3 night minimum at Bannisters Pavilion and Bannisters Port Stephens. Easter holidays and long weekends are a 3 night minimum stay.

  • What does ‘Check-Out Only’ mean on your website?

    Unfortunately, if ‘check-out only’ is visible on your booking screen, the dates you are trying to book are not available.

  • Day Spa Terms and Conditions

    A 15% service fee applies on all treatments Sundays and Public Holidays. Cancellations require 24 hours notice to avoid a full charge for the missed service. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill in your consultation card; unfortunately late arrival will affect your treatment time. Please advise the spa staff of any health issues that may affect your treatment prior to arrival.

  • Can I claim my treatment on my private health fund?

    Unfortunately no, our therapists do not currently hold the necessary accreditation.

  • Do you offer in-room massages?

    We do not, as standard practice, offer in-room massages.

  • Where is the day spa?

    Spa by the Sea is located at Bannisters by the Sea hotel in Mollymook, while Spa Bannisters is located at Bannisters Port Stephens. There is no Day Spa at Bannisters Pavilion Mollymook.
